Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely journal entries to support monthly close processes.
- Maintain and analyze balance sheet reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Oversee the filing and remittance of state and local sales tax returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory deadlines.
- Manage data relating to fixed assets and lease accounting, adhering to ASC 842 standards.
- Collaborate closely with external auditors by providing relevant documentation and clear explanations as needed.
- Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and procedures to promote efficiency and accuracy.
- Work cross-functionally with various departments to gather critical information, resolve issues, and support broader business objectives.
- Stay current on acceptable accounting practices, standards, and procedures.
- Execute additional tasks as needed to support the accounting and finance team.
- Remain flexible and available to work extended hours when business needs arise.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- CPA designation or documented progress toward obtaining CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in accounting or finance roles. Big 4 accounting experience is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, with Sage Intacct experience strongly preferred. Advanced competence in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Knowledge Base: Thorough understanding of GAAP and relevant accounting standards.
- Organizational Skills: Strong time management and multitasking abilities, especially in deadline-driven environments.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to identify and address business issues proactively and collaborate with leadership on solutions.
- Initiative: Demonstrated enthusiasm for supporting business growth and contributing to organizational success.
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
