Senior Accountant role in the Manchester area! The selected candidate will be involved in diverse accounting functions, including reconciliations, financial statement preparations, budget variance analysis, and compliance with internal controls.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure accurate record keeping of monthly closure documentation
• Oversee the reconciliation of balance sheets and income statement accounts
• Effectively coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with internal controls
• Manage the preparation of internal financial statements
• Conduct analysis of budget variances and other necessary analyses
• Prepare quarterly forecasting reports for review
• Oversee the review of journal entries and reconciliations prepared by team members
• Prepare workpapers to support quarter end and year end requirements
• Facilitate effective communication with management
Requirements Include:
• Possess strong skills in Account Reconciliation
• Proficient in Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Ability to manage Bank Reconciliations effectively
• Demonstrable experience with General Ledger
• Skilled in preparing and managing Journal Entries
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Month End Close processes
• Holds a CPA Designation or is on a CPA Track
• Broad understanding and experience with financial reporting and analysis
