The Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounting operations over certain branches of the Company, including internal financial reporting requirements, preparation of financial results, maintenance of internal controls and the Company’s accounting requirements. This individual ensures the accuracy and integrity of our financial records by assisting in the enhancement and maintenance of appropriate internal controls and takes the lead role in attaining and maintaining compliance with GAAP and best practices. - Manage the month end close process, including adherence to the close deadlines; prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations related to projects.
- Review contracts to determine revenue recognition criteria and coordinate with contracts team to setup contract for proper accounting.
- Coordinate with legal to enhance contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition language is included in contracts as needed.
- Coordinate the internal monthly review process to ensure financial statements are accurate.
- Support the quarterly and/or annual financial statement audits.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly supplemental financial reporting schedules.
- Provide strong leadership to the team and provide coaching, mentoring and training to develop them.
- Provide input to strategic decisions that affect the accounting team and accounting operations.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis as required by management for decision making.
- Demonstrate a high-level of ethical behavior in exercising judgement.
Qualifications:
- BS in Accounting or Finance Required, CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years related experience with 2 years or leadership experience.
- Construction experience highly desired, but not required
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work professionally with all levels of management.
- Ability to organize time and tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lead and develop a team.
- Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
