What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Fund Accountant position at Robert Half?
Robert Half has partnered with a small family office in search of a Senior Fund Accountant in Highlands Ranch, CO. This role offers an excellent opportunity to leverage your fund accounting expertise while broadening your experience in a diverse financial environment and role that will offer opportunities outside of just fund work. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of recent fund accounting experience and hold a degree in accounting, finance, or business.
This is a fully in-office position, providing the opportunity to collaborate closely with a small team. However, there is flexibility for appointments, snow days, and other personal commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of fund accounting, including capital calls, distributions, financial reporting, and fund performance analysis.
- Prepare financial statements and investment reports for multiple entities.
- Support tax preparation and compliance for family-owned entities.
- Assist with cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Collaborate with the investment team to monitor and report on the performance of investments.
- Maintain relationships with external auditors, banks, and service providers.
- Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations for investment opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- 4 years of fund accounting experience, preferably with private equity, venture capital, or family office exposure.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and fund structures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
