Senior User Experience Designer

Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior UX Designer to join our team on an ongoing contract basis, with the potential for full-time employment. The ideal candidate will have experience designing both professional and end-user applications, with a focus on creating intuitive, user-friendly experiences. You will be working closely with our Product Manager, graphic designer, developers, and other key stakeholders to build out intuitive mobile and web applications, driving the UX strategy and design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead UX design for both professional applications (incident management) and end-user mobile/web apps (security services).
- Conduct user research, develop user stories, and create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive designs.
- Collaborate with the product manager, developers, and graphic designer to ensure designs are feasible, user-friendly, and visually aligned with the brand.
- Design intuitive interfaces for apps with lots of video streams, alerts, push notifications, and interactive elements (e.g., drone deployment, locking doors, security features).
- Ensure that applications provide an exceptional user experience with features such as dark mode, live video feeds, and direct communication options (phone, chat, conference calls) with security teams.
- Facilitate A/B testing to optimize design effectiveness, and use feedback to iterate and improve design outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with UX trends and industry best practices.
- Work in an agile environment, helping to prioritize design tasks and manage feedback loops.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Senior UX Designer, with a portfolio showcasing your ability to design complex, intuitive applications for both professional and end-user needs.
- Strong proficiency in UX methodologies, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, A/B testing, and user-centered design principles.
- Experience designing apps with complex features like video streams, real-time alerts, and interactive elements.
- Knowledge of security-focused apps or systems is a plus, especially with a focus on smart home security, surveillance, or incident management.
- Excellent collaboration skills, particularly in a remote or distributed team environment.
- Ability to work independently, manage design projects, and adapt to evolving requirements.
- Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Familiarity with Agile development processes.
Contract Talent The salary range for this position is 65/hr to 68/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
