We are offering a contract for a Software Application Engineer V position in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be expected to plan, conduct, and coordinate a wide range of business programming applications activities in fields such as finance, human resources, and marketing. Responsibilities • Conduct and prepare feasibility studies for new data processing applications or revisions to current systems.• Establish programming standards and program documentation requirements.• Review the current status of system applications and prepare recommendations for system improvements.• Prepare system development cost estimates, budgets, and schedules.• Monitor design processes and prepare reports on system projects.• Handle customer inquiries, process applications, and maintain accurate customer records.• Manage the efforts of other Software Design Engineers to ensure system performance requirements are met.• Oversee the preparation, presentation, and follow-up of major projects.• Establish operational objectives and assignments, delegating tasks to subordinate staff as necessary.• Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.• Serve as a key resource for finding solutions to project problems that could potentially derail the project.
