This role will be centered around leading strategic sourcing activities for assigned projects and supply categories, with an emphasis on obtaining optimal quality, service, and value through effective bidding, negotiation, and supplier management.Responsibilities:• Lead the planning and execution of strategic sourcing activities for assigned projects and supply categories.• Manage the development and implementation of cost reduction initiatives.• Oversee the optimization and rationalization of the supply base.• Conduct risk assessments related to sourcing and supply chain management.• Handle the transition of products and services as part of supply base optimization.• Implement strategies for new product introductions in coordination with the supply base.• Manage supplier relationships and agreements to ensure quality and service standards are met.• Utilize analytical skills to assess and mitigate risks in sourcing activities.• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure value for products and services.• Facilitate effective communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
