We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This position is based in Salinas, California, and offers a hybrid work arrangement. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing month-end financial processes, maintaining fixed asset records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.Responsibilities:• Manage the fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.• Oversee and perform month-end close procedures, including account reconciliations and financial statement analysis.• Prepare and post journal entries for both routine and complex transactions.• Calculate, prepare, and adjust accrual and deferral entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.• Provide detailed documentation and expert support during internal and external audits.• Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and assist in implementing best practices.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data reporting.• Utilize advanced Excel functions and accounting software to streamline financial operations.
