Robert Half's trusted client is seeking a Sr. Accountant consultant for a long-term engagement. This long-term engagement entails performing a range of accounting tasks, from interpreting financial accounting principles to managing general ledger tasks. The successful candidate will be involved in various transactions, prepare analysis and reports, and ensure compliance with GAAP principles. This hybrid role is located in Ann Arbor Michigan. The day-to-day responsibilities include:• Analyze and monitor various transactions and accounting subledgers.• Execute banking transactions and prepare cash flow forecasts.• Interpret and implement new accounting systems and procedures, in line with assigned areas.• Record and track fixed assets, record depreciation, and account for the disposition of fixed assets.• Prepare and file tax returns for sales and use tax and property tax.• Manage general ledger tasks including posting journal entries, reconciling monthly balance sheets accounts, and account analysis.• Evaluate and interpret financial accounting principles and participate in the preparation of financial statements.• Contribute to the process improvements throughout the department.• Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
