We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our service industry team based in Escondido, California. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and preparing journal entries, participating in the month-end close process, and maintaining the general ledger. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.Responsibilities:• Undertake the preparation and analysis of complex journal entries, including prepaids, accruals, and risk pools.• Be actively involved in the month-end close process, ensuring that reporting is both accurate and timely.• Prepare comprehensive financial statement packages for review, focusing on the general ledger, balance sheet, and month-end financials.• Carry out financial analysis to support the month-end close, which includes variance analysis and productivity assessments.• Maintain and manage all records within the General Ledger, ensuring the correct accounting of all transactions.• Create and run reports using report writer tools, generating insights into financial performance.• Work collaboratively with other teams to maintain the accuracy and integrity of all financial data.• Employ your Microsoft Excel skills to manipulate and analyze financial data.• Manage physician compensation payroll, including complex calculations relating to productivity, charges, payments, and productivity pool adjustments.• Utilize Great Plains (GPAC) as the primary ERP system.
