We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced, hands-on Sr. Accountant with at least 3-5 years of full cycle experience to join our Accounting team. The Sr. Accountant will have an opportunity to advance to an Accounting Manager in the future. You will be responsible for managing the company's financial accounts, documenting and maintaining day to day financial transactions, and following proper accounting procedures to reach financial objectives.
Duties:
- Reconciliation of company accounts and month end close process
- Prepare financial statements and analysis for the whole of the company
- Maintain and oversee all accounting procedures and processes
- Follow and comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP) for financial statements
- Record and research all financial information for analysis
- Oversee budget reports, preparation of budgets, and analysis of budgets
- Document and interpret complicated financial information for executives
- Advise on the procedures and financial management as well as developing systems and solutions
- Forecast and plans according to fiscal needs
- Documenting day to day financial transactions details and monitoring transactions.
- Identify new business opportunities and generate leads through market research and networking
- AR and AP Management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise
- Prepare sales proposals and contracts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of solutions
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices
- Coordinating with senior management and outside accounting firms on the preparation of
annual tax returns.
Qualifications:
- BA/ BA in Accounting required, Finance, Business with an emphasis in Accounting, or a related field
- Previous experience (3 year minimum) as an accounting supervisor, or manager
- Proficiency with accounting software ZohoBooks (preferred)
- Experience with a software system implementation a plus
- Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations
- Understanding of Construction or Permit Expediting is a plus.
- Ability to manage employees, while multi-tasking large projects
- High levels of accountability
- Solid references or letters of recommendation.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
