We are offering an exciting opportunity in the Manufacturing industry for a SR. Accounts Payable Analyst to join our team in GLEN ALLEN, Virginia, United States. In this role, you will liaise with internal teams and vendors, manage accounts payable activities, ensure the accuracy of vendor records, and efficiently process invoices.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with vendors and internal departments to solve queries and discrepancies
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable, from invoice receipt to payment processing
- Ensure the accuracy of vendor records within the accounting system
- Assist in the preparation of accounts payable related activities for monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing
- Timely and accurately process invoices to meet payment deadlines and prevent late fees
- Conduct reconciliation of accounts and resolve any outstanding discrepancies
- Verify and reconcile vendor invoices and payments according to company policies and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is mandatory
- Experience in Account Reconciliation is essential
- Demonstrable skills in Coding Invoices is required
- Proficient in Invoice Processing
- Must be adept in using Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with D365 is a must-have
- Experience in Month End Close is necessary
- Knowledge in the Chemicals Manufacturing industry is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred
- Prior experience in a similar role would be beneficial.
