We are in the process of recruiting a Staff Accountant to be part of our team located in Santa Ana, California. The role will involve managing a variety of tasks in the manufacturing aerospace industry. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to work on-site and provide critical financial support to our operations. Responsibilities:• Oversee the financial reporting and analysis, including the preparation and examination of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.• Handle full cycle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring prompt payments and collections, reconciling supplier invoices, validating pricing and terms, and managing cash flow for smooth financial operations.• Manage the month-end close process, ensuring all financial transactions for the month are recorded accurately and promptly. This includes reconciling general ledger accounts, reviewing journal entries, and confirming all accruals and adjustments are made.• Take charge of cost accounting, tracking, and allocating manufacturing costs, such as direct labor, raw materials, and overhead. Collaborate with the production team to analyze cost variances and identify areas for cost savings or efficiency improvements.• Oversee inventory accounting, ensuring precise reporting of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Regularly perform inventory reconciliations and work with the operations team to address any discrepancies or issues.• Assist in the development and maintenance of internal controls to ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately. Support audits and ensure compliance with both industry standards and regulatory requirements.• Utilize software such as Quickbooks and Peachtree for managing and recording transactions.
