We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team located in Camarillo, California. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity and plays a crucial role in our finance team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our accounting records, assisting with the close process, and supporting audits.Responsibilities:• Accurately and efficiently process journal entries to maintain the integrity of the General Ledger.• Conduct account reconciliations across various balance sheet and income statement accounts to resolve discrepancies.• Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring financials are accurate and deadlines are met.• Uphold the structure of the chart of accounts in accordance with company policy and GAAP standards.• Analyze financial statements, explaining variances to management.• Prepare and review schedules to support monthly financial reporting and audit requests.• Assist in the management of intercompany transactions and reconciliations.• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper recording and classification of expenses.• Prepare workpapers and documentation to support internal and external audit requirements.• Continuously refine processes and controls related to General Ledger accounting and month-end close.• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
