We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Winchester, Kentucky. The chosen candidate will be a crucial part of our team, collaborating with various departments to ensure efficient and accurate accounting operations. This role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute significantly to our operations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the accuracy and correctness of all accounting transactions.
- Handle the organization's Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Perform double-entry bookkeeping tasks.
- Close the previous month's accounts by the 15th of every current month.
- Update and maintain business licenses in all operational counties.
- Manage occupational taxes across all counties we operate in.
- Prepare documents for tax preparation at the end of each year.
- Develop yearly Profit & Loss budgets.
- Oversee inventory levels and manage large orders of raw materials.
- Maintain the fixed asset list for depreciation purposes.
- Collaborate with various team members, including payroll, CPA, and occasionally project managers.
- Assume responsibility for credit card reconciliations.
- Utilize accounting software such as ComputerEase and Jobcost for posting billings.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Staff Accountant
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary
- Familiarity with General Ledger management
- Ability to handle Journal Entries efficiently
- Experience with Month End Close procedures
- Knowledge of NetSuite for accounting purposes
- Proficiency in Oracle financial software
- Experience with QuickBooks accounting software
- Knowledge of SAP financial software is required
