Staff Accountant

Salary: $25.00 to $35.00 hourly

Description

We are on the lookout for a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Waterford, New York. As a Staff Accountant, your primary role would be managing and overseeing the daily operations of our accounting department, which includes managing accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity, with the ability to become a permanent member of the team!

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department
• Managing and maintaining the general ledger
• Handling accounts payable and receivable
• Conducting bank reconciliations on a regular basis
• Ensuring accurate and timely month-end close procedures
• Preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
• Applying construction accounting principles in the execution of tasks
• Gaining proficiency in Foundation Software for efficient task execution.

Requirements

• Hold proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
• Exhibit expertise in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Demonstrate ability to perform Bank Reconciliations
• Possess knowledge in maintaining the General Ledger
• Show proficiency in creating Journal Entries
• Be able to handle Month End Close activities
• Have experience in Construction Accounting
