We are inviting applications for the position of Staff Accountant to join our team in Harvey, Louisiana. As a part of our team, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing various financial transactions, maintaining accurate records and assisting in the drafting of financial statements.
Responsibilities
- Handle financial transactions including journal entries and bank reconciliations
- Assist with the drafting of financial statements under the guidance of the controller
- Maintain precise records of accounts receivable
- Conduct month-end close procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Utilize Excel for various accounting tasks
- Manage electronic funds transfers including ACH's and wire transfers
- Gain exposure to construction accounting, although it is not a mandatory requirement.
- Proven experience in Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations accurately and efficiently
- Proficiency in managing and maintaining the General Ledger
- Extensive experience in preparing Journal Entries
- Demonstrated capability in handling Month End Close procedures
- Strong understanding and experience in preparing and analysing Financial Statements
