We are on the lookout for a Staff-level Cost Accountant to join our client in the service industry located in HONOLULU, Hawaii. The Staff-level Cost Accountant will be responsible for managing a variety of tasks such as processing construction project documentation, ensuring the operation runs smoothly, and working collaboratively with the team to establish contractual requirements. This role also involves assisting with project proposals, contracts, budgets, and the analysis of cost accuracy in job cost/project software. Preference will be given to applicants currently residing in Hawaii due to the nature of the job requirements.Responsibilities:Handle a wide array of tasks, including processing, issuing, and monitoring all construction project documentation.Regularly report to ensure the operation runs smoothly and efficiently.Collaborate with the team, including engineers, managers, suppliers, and supervisors, to establish contractual requirements.Aid in drafting and issuing project proposals, contracts, budgets, and payment applications.Inspect completed contracts and analyze cost accuracy in job cost/project software.Formulate process improvement recommendations and handle conflicts involving construction project documents.Communicate project information accurately and fulfill clients' needs effectively.Coordinate subcontractors' activities, prepare completion certificates, and assist the accounting department with customer, project, and vendor information.Adopt a proactive mindset for administrative requirements in project meetings and briefings.Contribute to building and fostering relationships important for the success of the team in Honolulu.
