Description

Lisa Cole Robert Half are in search of a Staff or Senior Accountant to be a part of growing agriculture company. The role involves handling various accounting tasks, facilitating account reconciliations, aiding in month-end and year-end closing processes, supporting tax, audit, and regulatory reporting, and collaborating with other departments. Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities including updating ledgers and processing journal entries
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately in compliance with Accounting Standards
• Perform routine reconciliations of various accounts such as Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, General Ledger Accounts, Inventory, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable
• Assist in monthly and yearly close processes, ensuring accuracy of journal entries and timely preparation of financial statements
• Analyze financial data to pinpoint trends, variances, and potential areas of improvement
• Support budgeting and forecasting analysis by providing accurate financial data
• Assist in preparation and review of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for internal stakeholders
• Aid in the preparation of various tax returns and regulatory filings
• Provide support during internal and external audits, preparing necessary documentation and responding to audit queries
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth processing of transactions and accurate financial reporting
• Continuously strive to enhance efficiency in accounting processes, controls, and reporting
• Handle ad hoc requests and special projects as needed.
  
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related
• Possess skills in Bank Reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies and standards
• Proficient in handling General Ledger tasks including maintaining records and preparing financial reports
• Capable of preparing Journal Entries accurately and on time, reflecting all financial transactions
• Demonstrated ability in performing Month End Close tasks, including account analysis and reporting
