We are seeking a Support Services Technician 3 in Kansas City, Kansas. As a Support Services Technician 3, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT environment. You will validate the functionality of new features, updates, or tools from a basic end-user perspective, and ensure they meet user needs. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Ensure new IT environment changes and enhancements are tested using a standard end-user profile without elevated access
Collaborate with IT team members to understand the scope of updates or enhancements
Develop and execute manual test cases and scenarios that reflect real-world user interactions
Analyze and validate release notes, identifying any changes to screens, features, or user workflows introduced by updates or new implementations
Identify, document, and report any usability issues, bugs, or inconsistencies in the user experience
Guarantee all changes meet quality standards and do not negatively impact user functionality
Use Microsoft 365, Webex, mobile devices, and operating systems as part of the IT tools and services
Implement strategies to address any identified discrepancy
Uphold quality assurance throughout all processes
Manage change effectively and maintain cost analysis for enhancements
Validate plans and maintain quality standards for test cases
Track bugs and address usability issues
Ensure effective communication within the team for seamless user interaction.
Requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft applications
Ability to implement strategies effectively
Experience in discrepancy management and resolution
Knowledge of quality assurance principles and techniques
Understanding of various operating systems
Experience in change management
Capability to perform cost analysis
Familiarity with UX principles and best practices
Experience in system enhancement
Proficiency in ProFile software
Excellent communication skills
Ability to develop and execute validation plans
Adherence to quality standards
Experience in creating test cases
Familiarity with bug tracking tools
Experience with mobile devices
Proficiency in using Cisco Webex Meetings
Experience in usability testing
