Job Title: Systems Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with 4 years of expertise in Systems Administration and Systems Engineering to join a team supporting the management and administration of a complex network and systems infrastructure. This role is pivotal in managing several hundred servers (99% virtual) and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Network Operations Center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage Active Directory (On-prem / Azure AD), including AD Trusts, ADCS, group policy creation, and support.
- Manage and support Cisco UCS Converged/Hyperconverged Infrastructure, including Intersight management.
- Perform Windows Systems Administration tasks such as configuration, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Build and implement Windows Servers.
- Administer Mimecast email security and Exchange systems.
- Manage Microsoft M365/O365/Purview administration.
- Administer Veeam Backup and Recovery systems.
- Perform Microsoft SQL Server administration, including high availability and cluster management (NOC-focused).
- Administer VMware systems and related infrastructure.
- Manage Azure cloud services and related infrastructure.
- Perform patch management for Windows, Linux, and Windows applications.
- Oversee business application and server incident management, including monitoring and break-fix.
- Support and implement disaster recovery processes, workflows, and systems.
- Migrate systems from older versions of Windows Server (2008/2012) to newer versions (2022/2025).
- Work with Cisco UCS in relation to Veeam Backup and Recovery systems.
- Manage and maintain Pure Storage SAN systems.
- Participate in deployments, upgrades, and documentation efforts.
- Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools, such as Intune and Kandji.
- Utilize PowerShell for scripting, automation, and task customization.
- Administer and maintain SCOM (System Center Operations Manager) and SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager).
- Write and maintain technical documentation.
- Perform data center tasks, including racking, installation, configuration, cable management, UPS/PDU, and monitoring.
- Experience in web services management, including IIS, Tomcat, and WordPress.
- Experience with Network Access Control (NAC) technologies.
Education, Skills & Certifications:
- 4 years of experience in Systems Administration and Systems Engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Microsoft Certifications: Role-based certifications (Fundamentals, Associate, or Expert), MCSE, MCSD, MCSA.
- ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation Certification.
- Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE).
- VMware Certification: VCTA, VCP, VCAP, or VCDX.
- Pure Storage Certification: Associate or Professional level.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, and viewing monitors.
- Moderate noise levels in office and data center environments.
