We are searching for a skilled Systems Administrator to become part of our team located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This role centers around Linux systems administration within a business that continues to thrive regardless of economic fluctuations. As a Systems Administrator, you will be tasked with managing customer applications, maintaining precise customer records, and addressing customer inquiries, as well as monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary action. Having Azure experience would be a huge plus! Responsibilities:
Evaluate software performance and conduct system tuning
Ensure the maintenance of servers, load balancers, and data storage across various locations
Advise on and create new designs, architectures, standards, and methods to improve large-scale distributed systems
Utilize skills in Active Directory, Backup Technologies, Linux Technologies, Linux System Administration, Microsoft Azure, VMware, PostgreSQL to fulfill job duties successfully.
Requirements
Proficiency in Active Directory is a must for efficient user and access management
Extensive knowledge of Backup Technologies is required to ensure data safety and recovery procedures
Solid understanding of Linux Technologies is necessary for managing and maintaining Linux servers
Experience in Linux System Administration is essential for the overall system management
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure is needed for managing cloud-based applications and services
Proficiency in VMware is required for virtualization management
Proficiency in PostgreSQL is required for database management and operations
