We are in search of a Systems Administrator based in Canton, Michigan. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in the IT department of our eCommerce distribution environment. Your responsibilities will involve the administration of user and group policies, the implementation of cybersecurity best practices, and handling of SQL Server administration tasks. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Administer Active Directory/LDAP user and group, along with Group Policy design and configuration.
Implement strong cybersecurity best practices, risk mitigation strategies, and compliance frameworks.
Utilize scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell and SQL for various tasks.
Handle basic SQL Server administration duties including error log review for issue troubleshooting and user access management.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and execute necessary tasks, and independently manage projects.
Evaluate and analyze system operations, supporting and reviewing them as necessary.
Improve system utilization through effective planning, organizing, and redesigning.
Manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
Utilize tools such as Firewall Technologies, Backup Technologies, Computer Hardware, Azure Active Directory, SQL Queries, Windows OS, and VMware.
Requirements
Proficiency in Firewall Technologies is essential.
Must have experience with Active Directory.
Familiarity with Backup Technologies is required.
Knowledge of Computer Hardware is necessary.
Experience with Azure Active Directory is a must.
Ability to write and troubleshoot SQL Queries is needed.
Expertise in Windows OS is expected.
Experience with VMware is a requirement.
