We are offering a contract opportunity for a Technical Accounting Manager in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As a Technical Accounting Manager, you will be working in the renewable energy industry, focusing on accounting activities for the company.Responsibilities• Oversee technical compliance in various accounting topics under US GAAP, including derivatives, business combinations, consolidation/VIE/intercompany.• Assist in the preparation and issuance of monthly, quarterly financial reports, as well as annual audited financial statements and tax filings.• Supervise general accounting functions such as reconciliations, collections, accruals, fixed assets, and debt.• Ensure that all accounting practices are compliant under the law and consistent with accounting principles.• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end variance to budget and prior period analyses.• Ensure timely submission of compliance filings including income and sales and use taxes.• Contribute to the preparation of budgets and cash flow forecasts.• Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team, ensuring effective performance and detail-oriented growth.• Implement internal controls and policies system migration and other process improvements and automation.• Interpret complex agreements to determine appropriate accounting treatment.
