About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated UX Front-End Developer to join our development team. This role will serve as the connection between UX design and front-end implementation, ensuring a seamless, accessible, and engaging user experience across our digital platforms. You will collaborate with UX designers, product managers, researchers, and developers to build intuitive web solutions.
About the Product
Our journal platform hosts over 500 medical and scientific publications, including well-regarded premium journals. This platform provides valuable research resources to students, librarians, medical professionals, and researchers worldwide. The UX Front-End Developer will help enhance and evolve this platform to improve user experience and drive engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Front-End Development: Develop responsive, efficient, and accessible code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs.
- Prototype Development: Convert wireframes and mockups into functional prototypes to demonstrate new features and product improvements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with UX designers, product managers, and developers to ensure smooth implementation of design concepts.
- Accessibility & Optimization: Build interfaces optimized for usability across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices while adhering to accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Testing & Debugging: Conduct A/B testing using Adobe Target, troubleshoot issues, and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
- Sales & Business Growth: Support product managers in creating prototype pages for sales pitches, incorporating real-time content through API integration.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3 years of experience as a Front-End Developer, UX Developer, or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6 ).
- Experience working with content management systems and APIs.
- Ability to create responsive web designs using CSS frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap).
- Knowledge of A/B testing methodologies and experience with Adobe Target.
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles, wireframing, and prototyping tools (Figma preferred).
- Understanding of SEO best practices and accessibility compliance (WCAG).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and collaboration abilities.
