Vice President of Finance / Controller
Robert Half Finance and Accounting and Kevin Sweet have partnered with a national leader in the entertainment industry for a newly created Vice President of Finance / Controller position. As Vice President of Finance / Controller, you will need to be hands on and instrumental in establishing the accounting and finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing policies and procedures, internal controls, overseeing the accounting and financial operations, managing the annual budgeting process, month-end close, preparing financial statements, financial reporting, presenting financials to senior leadership, leading the annual audit process, ad-hoc requests and leading the systems implementation.

Interested candidates must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, strong leadership and management experience, must be hands on, have experience of establishing policies and procedures, internal controls, overseeing the accounting and financial operations, managing the annual budgeting process, month-end close, preparing financial statements, financial reporting, presenting financial to senior leadership, leading the annual audit process, systems implementation experience. CPA and experience with Sage Intacct are both highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately preparing and presenting timely financial statements, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Managing day-to-day financial operations, including but not limited to accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Overseeing the annual budgeting process and adjusting forecasts as necessary.
- Facilitating the conversion of financial software systems.
- Leading the annual financial audit and acting as a liaison between public accountants and management.
- Implementing and maintaining financial policies, procedures, and internal controls in accordance with GAAP.
- Managing finance team members, which includes setting deadlines, reviewing journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Monitoring ad sales and digital revenue against budget and forecast, providing variance analysis to management.
- Overseeing monthly OPEX and production expenses against budget and forecast.

Salary : $170,000 - $190,000
