VP - Corporate Controller

Salary: $133.00 to $154.00 hourly

Description

We are on the lookout for an adept VP - Corporate Controller to join our team in the retail industry, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be managing a large team within the finance department, overseeing the financial close processes, and liaising with the executive team. This role provides a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of accounting and finance professionals
• Manage and oversee the month-end and quarter-end financial closing process
• Liaise with the executive team, including VP Finance, CFO, and other departments, requiring excellent communication skills and executive presence
• Oversee accounts payable, tax, procurement, technical accounting, and general ledger teams
• Handle the financial affairs of a public SaaS company with a substantial revenue base
• Utilize your experience with SaaS and subscription models
• Apply your skills and knowledge gained from Big 4 public accounting experience
• Leverage your CPA certification and public company experience to manage financial functions effectively.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior finance role within the retail industry
• Strong knowledge and experience with SaaS
• Prior experience in a public company environment
• Hold a valid CPA license
• Experience with a Big 4 Accounting Firm
• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong understanding of business finance and performance metrics
• Proficiency in financial software and databases
• Ability to strategize and solve problems
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
• Ability to create and monitor budgets
• Understanding of data analysis and forecasting
• Strong organizational and planning skills
