We are offering an exciting opportunity in the real estate / construction industry, located in Dallas, Texas. We are in search of a VP of Procurement to lead our team. Your primary role will involve processing strategic sourcing initiatives within the Americas Real Estate and Global Facilities Management Category. You will be responsible for implementing category management methodologies to deliver multi-year global strategies aligning with the organization's commercial and operational goals.
Responsibilities :
- Implement and oversee strategic sourcing initiatives to deliver value, mitigate risks, and identify cost containment or revenue generation opportunities.
- Foster best practices in procurement, vendor management, and commercial processes.
- Design and ensure uniformity in contracting structures, pricing models, vendor incentives, performance metrics, and cost frameworks.
- Collaborate with internal / external legal advisors to draft and refine contracts to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- Lead efforts in advancing the firm’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments and reporting.
- Encourage knowledge-sharing and best practices across the Global Strategic Sourcing team.
- Collaborate with risk management teams, including compliance and technology, to ensure alignment with the organization's Third-Party Risk and Control Framework.
- Proactively manage third-party control obligations and risks, and drive resolution of sourcing-related issues.
- Negotiate high-value, complex contracts, including incentivized service level agreements.
- Effectively manage projects with executive-level clients and large stakeholder groups.
- Drive ESG goals within procurement initiatives.
- Utilize sourcing / procurement systems such as Ariba, Fieldglass, or PMWeb.
- Display exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to strategic implementation.
- Leverage advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP tools to produce reports and analytics.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement or related field within the real estate / construction industry
- Solid understanding and experience with budget processes
- Demonstrated skill in buying processes within a corporate setting
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build strong relationships with vendors
- Proven experience in corporate procurement and global procurement strategies
- Strong vendor management skills, including experience with SAP Fieldglass and Ariba
- Knowledge and experience in commercial real estate procurement
- Strong negotiation skills, particularly in vendor negotiations
- Experience in vendor relations and sourcing
