We are offering a contract-to-hire opportunity for a Webmaster in Houston, Texas. This role involves managing and maintaining multiple websites in a user-friendly manner, with a focus on web development and design. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of user experience, SEO best practices, and site performance optimization.
HYBRID in HOUSTON
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of websites, ensuring they are fully functional and regularly updated with the latest content.
Collaborate with the team to upload, update, and organize text, images, and multimedia elements on the site.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website functionality, performance, and security.
Implement best practices for SEO and use tools such as Google Analytics to monitor web traffic, creating insightful reports to guide decisions and inform marketing plans.
Monitor websites for security vulnerabilities, implement updates and patches, and manage user permissions and access.
Work towards improving website layout, user experience, and user interface design.
Ensure regular backup of the websites and understand the disaster recovery plan in place in case of data loss.
Ensure the websites comply with legal regulations, including privacy laws and accessibility standards.
Provide regular reports on website performance, user behavior, and any potential issues.
Update, repair, and modify existing software with external vendor support as needed.
Requirements
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud for creating and editing digital content
Experience with Learning Management Systems (specifically LearnDash) for organizing and delivering educational resources
Familiarity with QuickBase for managing and automating business processes
Proven ability in user experience management to ensure optimal user interaction
Mastery of on-site SEO to enhance website visibility and ranking
Proficient in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Analytics for tracking and reporting website metrics
Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for website development
Expertise in web design to create aesthetically pleasing and functional websites
Experience in website maintenance to ensure website performance and security
Ability to perform timely website updates in line with business needs
Skilled in website design to deliver user-friendly and responsive websites
Proficiency in website analytics to track, analyze, and report on website performance
