General Description:
The Concrete Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing concrete construction projects from inception to completion. This includes budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring that all projects are executed in compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and project specifications. The Concrete Project Manager will work closely with clients, subcontractors, and construction teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Coordination:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives and specifications.
- Oversee project permitting and regulatory compliance.
- Team Management:
- Supervise and lead a team of foremen, crew members, and subcontractors.
- Provide leadership and direction for all concrete-related activities.
- Ensure that project resources are effectively utilized, and work is completed on schedule and within budget.
- Budgeting & Cost Control:
- Create detailed cost estimates and track expenditures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress and ensure the project stays within budget.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors for materials, equipment, and labor.
- Scheduling & Timelines:
- Develop, update, and manage the project schedule to ensure deadlines are met.
- Adjust project timelines as needed and communicate any changes to stakeholders.
- Quality Control:
- Implement quality control measures to ensure concrete work is performed to the highest standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of work in progress.
- Resolve any issues related to materials, workmanship, or safety.
- Safety Management:
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce safe work practices on-site.
- Client Communication & Reporting:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring all project details are communicated effectively.
- Provide regular updates to clients, stakeholders, and senior management regarding project progress.
- Address and resolve client concerns or issues in a timely manner.
· Documentation & Reporting:
o Maintain all project documentation, including contracts, change orders, submittals, RFIs, and daily logs.
o Prepare progress reports, project close-out documents, and any required compliance paperwork.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 5 years of experience in commercial concrete construction or a similar role.
- Proven experience managing large-scale concrete projects.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of concrete construction techniques and materials.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Salary commensurate with experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
