We are looking for an experienced Corporate Recruiter who will act as a consultant in building relationships with both internal clients and external prospects in an effort to ensure current and future talent acquisition strategies are well aligned to support the workforce and talent needs of the organization.
Baird’s Talent Acquisition team is dedicated to attracting the best global talent to meet the firm mission of being a best place to work. As a Recruiter, you are responsible for managing all facets of talent acquisition success while performing full life cycle recruiting (source, qualify, interview, assess, extend/negotiate and close offers) for multiple client areas.
Manage the strategy and execution of the full life cycle recruiting process for designated client areas:
- Collaborate with team and HR colleagues and leadership to implement a clearly defined talent acquisition strategy for each client through understanding the client’s business, goals and strategic initiatives.
- Plan and implement cost-effective, efficient recruiting strategies that identify and deliver top talent and minimize time-to-fill.
- Provide guidance to hiring managers by developing and clearly communicating recommendations based on knowledge of the markets, candidates, and talent strategies.
Utilize creative sourcing techniques to bring in quality talent:
- Build and maintain networks of potential candidates through pro-active market research and on-going relationship management.
- Demonstrate diversity awareness and utilize sourcing techniques that reach diverse population.
- Cultivate a network of relationships inside and outside the organization; work with clients to help promote opportunities out to their networks.
- Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need; collect market intelligence on talent supply, compensation, competitor trends, etc.
- Possess deep expertise using social media tools for attracting, marketing, engagement, networking, and sourcing; to include but not limited to: LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook.
Build strategic relationships within HR and the business:
- Develop strong partnership with HR Business Partner team and Talent Development to implement a clearly defined talent acquisition strategy and support client talent road maps.
- Collaborate with Client Senior Leadership to develop and communicate key results around recruiting strategies.
Be a leader in your field:
- Keep abreast of developments in Talent Acquisition to increase performance and drive business results.
- Build relationships within TA community to exchange ideas, identify trends and collaborate to improve approaches to common challenges, resulting in thought leadership and best practices for Baird.
- Work with key business leaders and build strong relationships with both internal clients and external prospects.
- Influence hiring teams while recommending a talent acquisition strategy based on your knowledge of current markets.
- Partnering with HR leaders in support of client talent road maps.
- Ability to work a variety of teams and leaders, proving your ability to be flexible and high adaptable.

- Bachelor's degree preferred with minimum of three years full-life cycle recruiting experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in recruitment best practices, client relationships, and talent sourcing in a professional services environment.
- Experience developing and executing recruiting and sourcing strategies including employer promotion in the marketplace, candidate management, diversity sourcing, and interview process management.
- Proven capabilities writing well defined job specifications/advertisements.
- Outstanding interviewing and interpersonal skills.
- Able to discern core competencies as they relate to the position requirements in order to evaluate and refer the best candidate pool to hiring managers.
- Strong sense of urgency, high level of accountability and ability to successfully influence hiring managers.
- Exemplary negotiation, organization & time management skills; prioritizing multiple tasks by importance or impact to the company.
- Expertise in utilizing applicant tracking system (ATS) and CRM to efficiently manage candidates. (Workday Recruit and Beamery experience is preferred).
- Experience in handling high volume and multi-location recruitment preferred.
