What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fixed Income Trader- Baird Trust position at Robert W. Baird?

- Manage daily trading within Trust Company portfolios
- Perform bond trading, portfolio construction, research, and data analysis
- Develop and improve Baird Trust relationships with trading counterparties/broker-dealers
- Support Portfolio Managers, Trust Administration, and Advisors in managing client relationships and portfolios
- Conduct credit analysis for various fixed income issuers and assist with “Buy Lists”
- Consistently maintain proper internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, all applicable SEC, IRS, Federal and State laws and regulations
- Maintain a complete knowledge of and comply with all company and departmental policies, procedures, and service standards

- Four (4) year degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance
- Masters of Finance or MBA preferred
- Pursuing or achieved: CFA / CFP / CPA preferred.
- 2-3 years of financial services experience
- Knowledge of fixed income markets, including US Treasury, municipal, corporate and government agency bonds preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) Series 7 Required – or ability to obtain.
- FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) Series 63, 65, or 66 required – or ability to obtain.
