Financial Controller
Location: Minneapolis, MN (On-site)
Work Schedule: 3-4 days per week onsite
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile Financial Controller to join our client in Minneapolis. This role is a critical position within North American operations, offering a unique opportunity to lead financial and operational initiatives while serving as a key partner to the General Manager (GM). The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of success in a medium-sized, complex organization. This position requires a “Swiss Army knife” approach, encompassing accounting, finance, reporting, legal, IT, and HR responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership:
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS standards.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage cash flow and working capital.
- Lead the integration of financial entities.
Strategic Partnership:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the GM Americas, providing financial and operational guidance.
- Lead the North American reorganization project in collaboration with the GM.
- Functionally report to the CFO.
Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of two, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Manage performance and development of team members.
- Cross-Functional Responsibilities:
- Provide support and oversight in legal, IT, and HR matters.
- Act as a liaison between finance and other departments.
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role in a medium-sized organization.
- Strong understanding of IFRS.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in leading organizational change and integration projects.
- Experience outside of the pharmaceutical industry is required. Agricultural experience is a plus.
- Experience with multiple entities is required.

Salary : $150,000 - $160,000
