What You'll Do
As a Senior Roadway Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of our projects by providing the framework for multidisciplined teams to deliver. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include leading the roadway-geometric technical design aspects for a variety of transportation projects, coordinating with other team members and disciplines. You will apply your broad understanding of civil engineering concepts to reach innovative and interdependent solutions. Your ability to prepare and check plans, earthwork/3D models, design calculations, geometric-fact sheets, quantities, cost estimates and reports will be crucial in this role.
The ideal candidate for the Senior Roadway Project Engineer role will bring a wealth of experience in civil engineering and transportation projects. With at least eight years of progressive experience under your belt, you have demonstrated strong technical geometric abilities and modeling skills. You are licensed as a Professional Engineer (Civil) in your current state of practice and are able to obtain licensure in the location of this position within six months of hire. Your experience with state and municipal transportation agency projects sets you apart, as does your ability to lead a roadway design team for geometric design, road safety design, earthwork modeling, maintenance of traffic, contract document preparation, and quality reviews.

- Minimum education bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience demonstrating strong technical geometric abilities and modeling for civil engineering and transportation projects including inter-discipline coordination
- PE license (Civil) in applicant’s current state of practice and ability to obtain licensure in location of this position within six month of hire
- Experience with state and municipal transportation agency projects
- Ability to lead a roadway design team for geometric design, road safety design, earthwork modeling, maintenance of traffic, contract document preparation, quality reviews
- Proficiency in: MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, InRoads/ORD, Civil 3D, MS Project, Project Wise and MS Office
