What you'll do:
As a Settlements Officer, your role will be pivotal in supporting both US and international financial markets operations. Your excellent problem-solving skills will be put to use as you address operational and customer-related issues efficiently. You'll have the chance to showcase your knowledge of industry regulations while managing fraud and risk within the sector. Your ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders will be key in this role.
* Perform daily processing and settlement of transactions, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
* Oversee trade approvals and liaise with back-office staff at custodian banks to resolve settlement issues.
* Provide first and second-level support for business systems, addressing operational and customer-related issues efficiently.
* Monitor business systems, detecting and addressing issues proactively to ensure operational continuity.
* Contribute to regular reviews of business processes, helping to maintain robust operational controls.
* Assist in the planning, coordination, and testing of system changes and updates, ensuring smooth transitions.
* Provide operational expertise to both internal and external customers, offering guidance on processes and system usage.
* Step into the responsibilities of other members of the team when required.
