As a Lead Carpenter, you'll be the on-site manager ensuring project success from start to finish. You will lead a team of apprentices and carpenters, oversee materials, schedules, and job site safety, and serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners. You'll also ensure that every project meets our high standards for quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily job site operations, ensuring projects stay on time and within budget.
- Lead, mentor, and train apprentices and carpenters, fostering skill development and teamwork.
- Manage and order materials to keep jobs running smoothly.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with homeowners, providing regular updates.
- Use Buildertrend to manage tasks, track progress, and document project updates.
- Conduct pre-construction walkthroughs, quality control inspections, and final punch lists.
- Coordinate and oversee Trade Partners, ensuring quality workmanship and compliance.
- Maintain job site cleanliness, safety protocols, and OSHA compliance.
- Handle change orders, estimate additional work, and ensure smooth adjustments to project plans.
- Attend weekly team meetings to review job status and labor needs.
- 5 or more years of residential remodeling experience, with strong carpentry and leadership skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Proficiency in job site coordination, material ordering, and scheduling.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Experience using Buildertrend or similar project management software (preferred).
- Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
- Valid Massachusetts Unrestricted Construction Supervisor's License.
- EPA RRP Certified Renovator Supervisor Certification (or ability to obtain).
- OSHA Certification and a strong commitment to job site safety.
- Own basic hand tools; the company provides larger equipment and vehicles for Lead Carpenters.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record
- A background and CORI check will be requested upon a conditional job offer.

- Competitive hourly pay at $30 to $40, based on experience.
