Certification Details BLS - Basic Life Support ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support NIH Stroke Certification Job Details Registered Nurse position in New Brunswick, New Jersey at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Patient Ratio : 1 : 1-2 critical care; Up to 1 : 4 if floating to IMC. 2 years ICU experience required. First time travelers accepted. Every other weekend and holiday required (as applicable). ICU Float pool, true float pool traveler will not have a home unit; Will float to other ICU and IMC units as needed. No block scheduling. Patient Mix : Will float to Neuro / Shock Trauma / Medical / Surgical / Critical ICUs; RNs may float to CVICU for appropriate assignment. Required Skills : Manage / Interpret EKG, Insulin protocols, chronic / acute renal failure, strong IV skills, CVAs, TBIs, vents / chest tubes / ABGs, wound vacs / drains; Experience with transplants (Hearts / Kidneys) preferred. Job Requirements 2 years ICU experience required. BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification required. Schedule Information Every other weekend and holiday required (as applicable). No block scheduling.
