Position Summary:

A housekeeping supervisor oversees the cleanliness and maintenance of accommodations and common areas within a property. They ensure that staff adhere to cleaning protocols, maintain inventory of supplies, and respond promptly to guest needs. With strong attention to detail and organizational skills, they coordinate schedules, prioritize tasks, and ensure that cleaning standards exceed expectations. Ultimately, their leadership ensures a comfortable and hygienic environment for guests, contributing to a positive guest experience and the overall success of the property.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

  • Clean, sanitize, and thoroughly stock resort restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas.
  • Maintain the functionality of washers and dryers by cleaning surfaces and removing lint buildup regularly.
  • Ensure pristine cleanliness of all floors through sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and periodic waxing and buffing.
  • Keep windows, screens, and window ledges spotless and in proper working order.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all offices, promptly emptying trash containers as necessary.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
  • Promptly report any unsafe or hazardous conditions, incidents, accidents, or equipment defects to the resort manager or maintenance supervisor.
  • Undertake any other duties or special projects as assigned by management.

  5. Timely Response to Guest Needs: Responding promptly to guest requests and ensuring their needs are met in a timely manner contributes to a positive guest experience.
  6. Completion of Assigned Tasks: Diligently completing all assigned tasks demonstrates accountability and contributes to the smooth operation of the property.
  7. Exceeding Time to Clean Standards for Cabins: Going above and beyond to ensure cabins are cleaned to exceptionally high standards within a reasonable time frame enhances guest satisfaction and reflects positively on the property.
  8. Exceeding Time to Clean Standards for Common Areas: Demonstrating exceptional efficiency and thoroughness in cleaning common areas beyond standard expectations contributes to a welcoming and well-maintained environment for guests and staff.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED 
  • Must be hardworking, reliable and focused on providing exceptional customer service 
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously 
  • Previous experience cleaning homes or other large facilities 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general janitorial work 
  • Knowledge of safety measures required when using various cleaning chemicals 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Constantly Stand, Walk, and use hands 
  • Lifting Requirements: Up to 25 lbs. 
  • Environment Conditions: Temperature Changes
