Company History

Roberts Tool & Die Company was initially founded in 1984 to design, build and maintain tools and dies for local manufacturers. In 1987 Roberts Tool & Die Company established a CNC lathe and machining division which were then followed by wire EDM operations. Roberts Tool & Die Company’s growth and expansion continued in 1990 to a second plant, Graves Street, where metal stamping and manufacture provided products to regional and national customers in the automotive, transportation, farm implement, appliance and home & commercial construction industries.

Today, Roberts Tool & Die Company has three divisions complimenting each other, Tool & Die, CNC Machining and Stamping.

The company’s primary goal is to continue to grow and prosper within the industry, where quality and satisfaction requirements are mutually beneficial to both entities meeting strict customer specifications and tolerances by measuring itself through a comprehensive Quality Assurance program.

Tool & Die Maker preferred requirements & responsibilities

The Tool & Die Maker responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:

- Preferred minimum 5 years experience including schooling. Schooling is defined as a 1 to 2-year trade school. 2 years schooling plus

- 3 years experience may be considered.
- Set up and operate machine tools = lathe, mill, surface grinder, radial arm drill press

- Program, set up and operate CNC mill would be beneficial & training could be provided

- Reading and interpretation of tool blue prints

- Build & maintain progressive, form, and blank dies

- Build & Maintain jigs, fixtures & gauges

- Advanced shop math skills

- Geometric Tolerance & Dimensions

- Tool Steel knowledge

- Heat Treat knowledge

- Will need to work overtime when needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
