Key Responsibilities
As a Legal Filing Specialist, you will:
- Prepare and e-file legal documents (pleadings, motions, notices, etc.) with New Jersey courts, ensuring accuracy and strict adherence to deadlines.
- Review and analyze legal documents to ensure compliance with court rules before submission.
- Maintain organized electronic case files using our document management system.
- Monitor and track the status of filed documents, ensuring prompt follow-ups on acknowledgments and notices.
- Communicate with court clerks and agencies to resolve filing issues and provide updates.
- Troubleshoot e-filing platform issues, including rejected submissions or access problems.
- Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to ensure proper document formatting and compliance with local court requirements.
- Stay up to date on New Jersey court rules and e-filing system updates.
- Prepare and manage documentation for creditor rights cases.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
- Experience: Prior e-filing experience in a legal environment is a plus but not required. Knowledge of creditor rights law, foreclosure, or bankruptcy is a bonus.
