JOB TYPE/SALARY LEVEL: FT, Exempt, Certified SALARY RANGE: $63,000 - $88,000

OBJECTIVE: To assist the principal in providing school-wide leadership and assists administrative and supervisory duties as assigned by the principal.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Supervise teachers and all employees as assigned by the Director of Schools.
Public Relations
Build beneficial and supportive relationships with the community stakeholders, and other district employees.
Qualification Requirements
To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and or ability required. Education And Experience
Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules and guidelines, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively one-on-one (or a small group) to students, parents, community groups, or other employees of the district.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Hold a valid Tennessee teaching license and hold an Instructional Leadership License (ILL, or ILL-P).
Other Skills And Abilities
The ability to operate a computer utilizing software provided by the district.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assists the principal in the overall operation and management of personnel and facilities
- Serves as principal in the absence of the head principal
- Assists in maintaining good public relations with the community and using the community resources to enrich the instructional program
- Assists in evaluating teachers and other personnel as outlined in state law, Minimum Rules and Regulations, and Board policies
- Assists in the implementation of curriculum standards for each grade level or subject matter area
- Assists in overseeing the health and safety of students
- Assists leadership in the development of the annual budget and operating expenditure plan based on program plans, curriculum and instructional needs, priorities, repair and maintenance, capital improvements and the replacement of equipment and instructional materials
- Assists in planning faculty/staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, school activities, and school exhibits
- Assists in ensuring the proper care and accounting of all equipment, textbooks, and supplies assigned to the school
- Observes all other rules and regulations relative to the operation of the schools as established by law and as contained in the Rules, Regulations and Minimum Standards of the State Board of Education, and Board Policies.
- Stays familiar with and ensures appropriate implementation of all board policies
- Assumes other duties as assigned by the Principal.
- Assumes other duties as assigned by the Director of Schools.

- Minimum of (3) years teaching experience
- Professional Tennessee teaching license AND
- Instructional Leadership License (ILL, or ILL-P)
