We are seeking a skilled Cement Chipper to join our team at Robertson's Ready Mix. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and finishing concrete surfaces, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for concrete pouring by chipping away excess material.
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently to assist in concrete placement.
- Ensure proper mixing of concrete using mixers as required.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks associated with concrete handling and installation.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Removal of dry concrete from mixer drum
Requirements
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment.
- Experience operating concrete mixers and heavy machinery is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly.
- Familiarity with concrete forming techniques is highly desirable.
- Commercial driving experience is a plus but not required.
- Basic knowledge of drywall installation and metal stud framing is beneficial.
