GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will coordinate and oversee the following activities: assessment, development, and ongoing revisions to PCP; monitoring/implementation of PCP. The position involves the process of linking and coordinating components of a service system to ensure the client's treatment/rehabilitation needs are met. This position will provide a minimum of 25 hours of direct service per week for substance abuse case management. Case management facilitates client-service system through interaction and movement towards planned changes through development of appropriate casework plans that include service provision and client advocacy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a human service related field with documentation of at least two years of supervised experience in the profession of alcoholism and drug abuse counseling or related field.
- Understanding of substance abuse and chemical dependency as defined in the DSM-IV.
- Understanding of addictions and knowledge of the impact of addiction on women and families. Knowledge of 12-step programs.
- Knowledge of perinatal programs aimed at rural women and minorities.
- Experience in the techniques of casework, group work, or community organizations.
- Familiarity with the community and its resources. Individual must be familiar with other agencies and with what they offer.
- Ability to correlate needs with possible solutions; ability to synthesize information effectively in order to communicate successfully both orally and in writing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $31,340.40 per hour
