About the team role

The Robinhood Gold Credit Card team’s mission is to deliver world-class credit products, design state of the art decision frameworks, and build risk management systems that serve our customers. Our team seeks to push the boundaries of what credit products and experiences to drive Robinhood's growth and success.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the future of our credit products. By analyzing complex data, crafting predictive models, and delivering actionable insights, your work will directly influence our strategic decisions and improve customer experiences.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop, implement and deploy predictive models to solve complex business problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine data needs and deliver flawless insights.
  • Conduct detailed data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Present clear and impactful findings to stakeholders, driving data-informed strategies across the organization.
  • Mentor and guide junior data scientists and contribute to the team's professional growth.

What You Bring

  • Proven expertise in data science, with a strong background in statistical analysis and machine learning.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, or other relevant languages.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Ability to successfully implement projects and compete in a fast-paced environment.
  • PhD or master’s degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, engineering or natural sciences and at least 2 years of experience developing and deploying predictive models.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

Zone 1 (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC)

$187,000—$220,000 USD

Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL)

$165,000—$194,000 USD

Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL)

$146,000—$172,000 USD
