What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consumer Lending Specialist position at ROBINS FINANCIAL CREDIT UNION?
What You’ll Do:
- Efficiently meets the needs of the membership while creating and processing loan applications.
- Communicates with members applying for consumer loans from all channels to include online and phone.
- Interviews loan applicants, explains loan options, rate, terms and any collateral requirements.
- Obtains documents needed to secure, close, and disburse loans and lines and submits a complete loan package to the underwriter for a decision if needed.
- Follows up with members within the required timeframe regarding loan decision and any additional documentation.
- Demonstrate a high-level knowledge of lending products and services.
- Actively participates in and completes all required loan training
- Provides information, answering questions and resolving member issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Identify and present cross sell opportunities for loans, credit cards and ancillary products (GAP, Extended Warranties, Credit Protector, etc.) to meet member needs.
- Meets all team, individual and department goals for loans and ancillary products.
- Deliver high level of quality service (both internally and externally).
- Completes daily tasks with a high regard for accuracy, efficiency and professionalism
- Work closely with Underwriters and Loan Processors to achieve goals and meet required service levels
- Maintains quality service levels through member feedback and loan reviews
- Processes loan applications in a volume consistent with the department
- Additional Functions:
- Performs routine tasks involved in cross selling and servicing loans, as well as other accounts
- Performs duties in compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
- Demonstrates teamwork by exhibiting the following: contributing to team effort, initiative, dependability, positive attitude, good attendance, tact, and diplomacy.
