Robinson Cole, a Vault “Top Ranked” Am Law 200 firm, seeks an associate with two to five years of experience to join the Environmental, Energy Telecommunications Practice Group in any of its East Coast offices.
Robinson Cole’s Environmental, Energy Telecommunications team is one of the largest and most diverse in the Northeast. Robinson Cole lawyers provide targeted and practical advice to clients with all types of environmental, health, and safety (EH S) and utility needs (electricity, gas, steam, water, and telecom) in jurisdictions, and at sites and facilities, across the country.
Qualified candidates should have experience with 1) state and federal environmental, health and safety, energy, and/or utility statutes and regulations; 2) state utility regulatory requirements applicable to wholesale and retail energy markets; and 3) related regulatory, transactional, and litigation matters. Preferred candidates will have experience appearing before state public utility commissions, securing siting and permit approvals for energy projects, and negotiating the purchase and sale of renewable and traditional energy-generating facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and enjoy preparing thorough reports, agreements, permit requests, and other related documents. This is an exciting opportunity for the selected candidate to take on early responsibility and ownership.

New York and DC Applicants: Please note that the target base salary range for this position is $185,000 to $202,500. Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's class year, years of experience, skills, qualifications, and office location.
