We are looking to add an additional Drafter to our growing team who will provide excellent support to the New Fan and Rapid Response (Repair) teams. This position is responsible for creating 3D models and 2D drawings using sales-supplied specifications and company-created standards. The drafter must be able to accurately complete a bill of material for purchasing materials needed for fabricating and assembling the required fan components.
What You Will Do
- Communicate progress responsibly and on a timely basis with all internal customers.
- Follow drafting/ engineering and production procedures for accurate handoffs of information.
- Work towards on-time delivery of all information.
- Follow current practice for documenting and organizing information in the current file system.
- Provide input for process and design improvement.
- Generate bearing check-out runs, shaft runs, and liner fastener calculations.
- Review sales orders along with job requirements for every job.
- Ability to create a 3D model or modify an existing model.
- Make accurate 2D assembly and detail drawings.
- Provide a complete and accurate bill of material before releasing the job.
What You Will Bring
- Associate degree, trade school degree, or relevant years of experience.
- Ability to frame ideas with a sketch or quick drawing.
- Experience in AutoCAD and Inventor software.
- Strong mechanical skills with knowledge of sheet metal layout and problem-solving.
- Well-organized and able to adapt and effectively multi-task and prioritize.
- Must take initiative and be able to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the team.
- Excellent analytical, time-management, and project-management skills.
- Extreme attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects at once.
