QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma/GED and at least one of the folllowing:
- Completed 60 hours of study at an accredited college or university
- Obtained an associate’s degree (or higher)
- Passed a paraprofessional academic assessment test
- Experience in Social or Human Services
- Experience with "at risk" students
REPORTS TO: Building Principal/Coordinator of Alternative Education Programs
JOB GOAL: To assist the supervisor in effectively using all appropriate resources to improve the learning environment for all students.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in developing behavior modification programs for students.
- Work intensively on a one to one basis with those students who have been unable to function effectively in the program.
- Participate in faculty meetings and in-service.
- Work closely to help students maintain satisfactory work and behavior.
- Help teach skills to deal with social, emotional and educational problems that reduce or disrupt performance in school.
- Maintain records of students assigned to In-school Supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary Range: Range 3 - Support Staff Hourly Salary Schedule ($12.04/hr. - $21.32/hr. depending on relevant experience)
Length of Contract: 178 contract days, 7 1/2 hours per day
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Personnel Status: Classified

EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated according to provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Staff Personnel.
