JOB OVERVIEW

The Data Warehouse Developer & Power BI Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust data warehouse and developing advanced reporting solutions using Power BI or similar toolsets. This role requires a deep understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and data integration processes.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as a liaison between IT and business units, assessing data extraction, report generation, and troubleshooting operational issues related to data warehouse systems.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data warehouse architecture, ETL processes, and reporting solutions.
Date Warehouse Development

Design, develop, and maintain a scalable data warehouse that meets the businesses data storage, processing, and retrieval needs.

Integrate various data sources into a cohesive data warehouse, ensuring consistency and reliability.

Create and manage efficient Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to ensure data is accurately and timely integrated into the data warehouse.

Manage the entire life cycle of data warehouse projects, including sourcing, migration, quality, and performance tuning.

Work closely with business and other stakeholders to understand their data requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.

Implement and maintain data quality checks to ensure that the data warehouse contains accurate and high-quality data.

Optimize data warehouse performance, including query performance tuning and indexing.

Power BI Development

Develop advanced and interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar tools to support business decision-making.

Ensure all data-handling and reporting activities comply with relevant regulations and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

Experience : minimum five years of experience in data warehouse development, data modeling, and ETL processes.

Technical skills : Proficiency in Power BI or similar reporting tools, SQL, and data integration technologies. Experience with cloud-based data warehouse solutions (i.e. Azure, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery) is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into data solutions.

High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and reporting.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Strong expertise with Microsoft BI Stack including SQL Server (2016 / 2022), SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and Power BI, with hands-on experience in database design, Transact-SQL, and performance tuning.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

PREFERRED SKILLS

Infor Syteline ERP systems experience

Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
