As a Senior Engineer on our team, you will lead the work on In-Game Purchasing within Roblox and adjacent systems. Beyond this scope, you will be involved with several additional systems also owned by the team such as : Purchasing interfaces across all RobloxTransaction reporting systems. Pricing and other monetization tuning systemsThe systems above enable developers to monetize their games on Roblox, earning hundreds of millions of dollars per year, while processing billions of transactions.The ideal candidate is passionate about building outstanding user experiences on the web, mobile apps, games or elsewhere. You'll work with Roblox Game Engine technologies integrating functionality into the Roblox version of Lua called Luau paired with occasional tweaks on adjacent systems. Experience with game development is especially translatable into this role, but not a requirement. You Will : Build experiences for a global community of over 90 million daily active usersDevelop in-game APIs and Interfaces used by millions of users in a reliable, secure manner.Contribute to our cross-platform game client codebase, written in Lua.Work on a full-stack capacity (e.g. tweaking a backend API) as needed. Approximately 20% of the time. Work with product, data science, and design to help refine strategy and requirements.Contribute to overall user experience, gather feedback, and iterate where necessary.Be a tech lead for the team and mentor junior engineersYou Have : 4 years of professional experience working on consumer-facing applications.3 years of experience with modern UI frameworks like React or React NativeStrong product and design intuition. A collaborative mindset to partner with Product Managers and Designers. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
